nteracting with the media persons, he said that he stopped at several villages to know the problems of the people. Each village has some or the other problem but problem of water logging in some villages along with Dobh, Bhali and the problem of road to Bhali village have come into his notice and necessary directions have been issued to resolve these problems. He said that the villagers of Bhali also demanded 24-hour power, for which they have been urged to reduce line losses below 20 per cent. As soon as line losses are reduced, 24 hours electricity would be made available in the villages under Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon scheme.
He expressed satisfaction over the fact that the people have responded wholeheartedly to his appeal to reduce the line losses which has shown remarkable results. At present 2800 villages of six districts including Panchkula, Ambala, Gururgram, Sirsa, Fatehabad and Faridabad are being provided 24 hours electricity under this scheme and Yamunanagar district will also be provided 24 hours electricity under this scheme soon. He said that the government has taken several concrete steps to provide relief to common man in this regard which included waiving off interest and surcharge, corrections in the bills and making provisions of paying bills in instalments. Besides this, the power tariff has been reduced to almost half from Rs 4.50 per unit earlier, to Rs 2.50 per unit.
He appealed to pay the bills as per the power consumed by them. He said that Rs 27000 crore has been released to the power companies to reduce their deficit.
He said that a good response to the developmental and welfare scheme implemented by the government during the last four years has been received and people are satisfied with the functioning of the state government. Responding to a question on the INLD party, he said that it is their internal matter and it would have been better if this had not happened. He would never take political gain of such a situation.
On the inauguration of KMP expressway, he said that earlier there were talks of inauguration by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi through remote, but now the efforts are in the direction that that the Prime Minister visit the state to dedicate this ambitious project to the people. Once the date is fixed for the inauguration by him, it would be announced, he added. Earlier, the Chief Minister on his way from Rohtak to Dadri, also interacted with the people of the villages falling on the route to enquire about the problems being faced by them and also to get first hand feedback on the welfare and developmental schemes implemented by the present government in its tenure of last four years. Most of the people expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the present government.
Manohar Lal when apprised of the bad condition of Bhali Anandpur Road, walked with the villagers to see the condition of road and gave necessary directions for its immediate repair. He directed to give the list of power bill defaulters to the villagers so that they could convince the defaulters to pay the bills. He assured them that as soon as they bring their line losses down to 20 per cent their villages will be covered under Mhara Gaon Jagmag Gaon and will be provided uninterrupted power 24 hours. He also directed for immediate action for water drainage in the villages facing water logging.
