“Let us pledge to work for national unity”: Rajnath Singh

Addressing the huge gathering, the Union Home Minister recalled Sardar Patel’s monumental role in uniting various provinces in the immediate aftermath of India’s Independence.

He said Sardar Patel was the force behind India’s unity and integrity.

The Nation is deeply indebted to him, he added. Rajnath Singh said we must pledge to dedicate ourselves to the vision of the Iron Man of India.

Earlier, the Union Home Minister paid floral tributes to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first Home Minister of India, at his statue at Patel Chowk to mark his 143rd birth anniversary.
